How to get your site to the top in Google?

“Make sure our site appears in the top of Google searches!”
A designer often hears that phrase from a client. Sure, SEO services are a nice income and easy to sell, but sadly, appearing in the first page of Google is not magic done by changing code, so it’s not merely the designer who’s in charge of the position. What is it about then?

Hello world! How to make a blog matter?

“Hello World!”
If a blog was a baby, its first sound wouldn’t be a healthy cry, but these two words.
I recently started freelancing fulltime, and as a newcomer, self-promotion is crucial. This is why I started blogging once again. This is nothing new for me, starting it, but what’s new is that this time I have a focus. This is not to be considered a new blog, but rather a fresh start to the one that has been on a hiatus for some time. A fresh start with a lesson learned and a new meaning and focus.

Make Your Own Game

Now when businesses and the guys who used to shout “Geeks!” are warming up for the Social Web, there are plenty of people running around trying to figure out how to benefit from the current Web. Some try to find this out by listening to the experts [who may or may not know] and some try to figure the game by themselves – which may or may not work. So what’s the outcome going to be?

How are we going to cope with the Buzz?

Time, not the sky, is the limit for people using social media. The new Google Buzz is trying cut into our daily life and attract us to spend more time Buzzing. As a result, this means less time for Facebook, Twitter and many less populated social medias. We still need some time to take care of our daily works and even traditional emails.

The Google Buzz is out

Where’re all the people? Nobody goes to seminars and shows anymore. Everybody is socializing on Buzz or Facebook. Buzz is the new kid on the block and it might become an instant success. Buzz integrates your friends on Gmail and other Google services. In addition, you can also integrate many other things to Buzz.

Question About Facebook’s Privacy Controls

Recently I had a nice talk with a person who wanted to know more about the privacy controls in Facebook. She was concerned about what the page Administrator and others may see about you if you Become a Fan to a Facebook fan page. I thought I’d share this with you here.
There’s a really simple and quick way to check how others see your FB profile. In your Facebook account, go to Settings > Privacy settings > Profile information. From here, you can control everything you wish or wish not others to see about you.
